A warm and friendly welcome is waiting for you at Eleven Westgate. It's an elegant Victorian family home, retaining many of its original features, which have been carefully restored to provide light airy rooms with a cosy homely feel. The deceptively large house has quality furnished rooms, all en-suite, offering loads of home comforts including Freeview TV's with DVD players and a few extra treats.
For the odd occasion when you're not out exploring, we have a large lounge with comfy settees, Sky+ HD TV with sky sports, games, books, magazines and DVD's. There's a roaring log burner so you can warm your toes after those long winter walks or rides and we also have free WiFi for planning your adventures (hopefully NOT for catching up on too much work!).
We are fully non-smoking and don't accept pets. Families with children are welcome and although we don't have family rooms we can provide a pull out bed in at least one of our rooms which would also take a travel cot.
Eleven Westgate is situated in the historic market town of Pickering, in the heart of beautiful Ryedale, home of the renowned North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway and the gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
We are ideally situated as a base for exploring loads of nearby places and attractions including the Steam Railway, National Park, Dalby Forest, the beautiful east coast towns of Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington, and the historic city of York.
Drying facilities for wet walking and biking gear are available which can also be used for coats and jackets after a day our power shopping! In addition we also run mountain biking holidays (www.gonemountainbiking.com) and have an onsite guide, instructor and cycle mechanic. Our UK based call centre staff (that would be Amanda & Mike!) are on hand to answer any questions you might have and will help you to plan and enjoy your stay, making sure you're as relaxed and comfortable as possible during your time with us. So bring your slippers and your favourite teddy, oh, and don't forget your toothbrush.
